Barbara Jean Hoffman instilled the importance of a college education to every one she touched in life. As the first in her family to attend and graduate from college, she was a strong advocate for higher learning.
In continuing her legacy, the Scholarship Program serves as the cornerstone of our Foundation. Recipients are awarded annually at the Barbara Jean Hoffman Memorial Foundation Scholarship Dinner. Where they are acknowledged for their accomplishments and encouraged to continue reaching for their educational goals.
Every year the Barbara Jean Hoffman Memorial Foundation's Scholarship Program provides $25,000 worth of scholarships to needy students in the Houston area. Applicants are required to provide:

An official high school transcript

Proof of college acceptance

(3) Letters of recommendation

Essay: "Why I Want a College Education". The essay may be up to, but not more than two pages on 8½ X 11 inch paper, one-sided, computer-generated (typewritten) and double-spaced.

Senior Class picture (gap and gown preferred)
Applicants are required to completely fill out the scholarship application form. If there is no answer please indicate with N/A. Applications must be mailed to the Barbara Jean Hoffman Memorial Foundation PO Box provided in the application form for consideration by: Monday, April 14, 2008
