2006 School Supply Drive

Many economically disadvantaged students in the Houston area will arrive ill-equipped for the first day of school. Budget cuts have also left many schools limited in providing the necessary learning supplies for students. Some students spend the remainder of the school year making up the lost time associated with not having adequate supplies.

Since 2001, the Barbara Jean Hoffman Memorial Foundation has provided thousands of free school supplies such as (pencils, paper, notebooks, folders, rulers, crayons, pens, glue and other necessities) to students whose academic success has been threatened by poverty.

Free school supplies are made available to all Houston area elementary, middle and high school students every summer. Supplies are provided on a "first come, first served basis" in August, from several distribution locations indicated on this website's "events" button.

In order to participate, Parents/Guardians must be accompanied by the student(s) receiving school supplies.
